At Youth Hub, we believe that protecting our natural environment starts with action at the community level. As part of our ongoing mission to build a greener Sri Lanka, our dedicated volunteers recently carried out a tree planting project at මල්වාන - බෝධිරාජාරාමය.
Nestled in the heart of the Malwana area, බෝධිරාජාරාමය is more than just a place of worship — it is a place where generations gather, find peace, and connect with nature. Our goal was to enrich this sacred space by planting native trees that will provide shade, fresh air, and a serene atmosphere for years to come.
With the support of the temple monks, local residents, and our passionate Youth Hub team, we planted a variety of carefully selected saplings suited to the temple environment. This initiative not only contributes to a greener landscape but also educates and inspires our youth to care for the planet and protect our natural resources.
Each tree planted at Malwana Bodhirajarama stands as a symbol of hope and a promise for a more sustainable future. Through these efforts, Youth Hub encourages communities to work together to restore greenery, fight climate change, and preserve cultural and spiritual spaces for future generations.
This project is one of many we aim to carry out across Sri Lanka as we continue our mission to plant more trees and nurture environmental stewardship among the youth. We invite you to join us — volunteer, partner with us, or help spread the message of sustainability. Together, we can grow a greener, healthier tomorrow.
