One Million Trees for One Million Children
"The nation's lifeline is the environment"
The Husmak Project is a youth-led movement to restore balance between people and nature. Under the theme “One Million Trees, One Million Children”, we aim to plant one million trees across Sri Lanka, with every child playing a role in offsetting carbon emissions and protecting ecosystems.
At the same time, we are committed to building a Zero-Plastic Environment by reducing plastic waste in schools, communities, and workplaces, creating healthier and cleaner spaces for all.
This project is led by Youth Hub, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Environment, and strong partnerships with both public and private sectors. Together, we strive to inspire a generation of environmentally responsible youth and build a greener, more sustainable future for Sri Lanka.
